Without admitting guilt, Kircho Kirkov, who hit and killed a pedestrian in Plovdiv, was sentenced to 2 years probation with 4 years probation. The tragic incident happened on June 30, 2018 on Tsar Simeon Street in the area of a crossroads – while driving a bus he violated the rules of the road and during a maneuver and inadvertently caused the death of pedestrian Atanaska Georgieva. In his last words, the driver pleaded not guilty, but regretted the woman’s death. Until recently, Kirkov said he had not seen her at all. She crossed in an unmarked place and there is no footpath. In its reasons for the sentence, the court also takes into account the acts of complicity on the part of the pedestrian.
