It all started with someone knowing who knows someone and so on. She is a doctor, he is press spokesman – and her apartment was set against the backdrop of a new crime scene in autumn 2021. They hardly recognized their home during the shoot.

AOn the dresser in the hall are two copies of the book “Luna eats or dies” by Luise Nathan. The provocative title sounds like young, somewhat brute literature. The 19-year-old author has just appeared in the starry sky of literature with her debut novel. Unfortunately I haven’t heard of it yet. The text surprises when you read it. Sounds a bit like Kafka’s transformation. The internet research remained inconclusive despite the existing ISBN number; there was no reference to this work. The book is fake, a tiny part of the room decoration for a crime scene that is being filmed in the old building in Nordend.
How is an apartment filming location in a crime thriller? In the beginning there were the parties. A doctor friend of mine was a guest at large celebrations several times and knew the apartment in the Nordend very well. Then comes the typical Frankfurt thing that someone knows who knows someone and so on. The doctor is friends with a woman whose job is a location scout, which means that she arranges locations for film and television productions for the respective subject. In this case, the crime thriller story calls for an apartment in an old building for the Green politician Friederike Nathan with her daughter Luise. What is needed is a well-established mix of old and new with a few books and a little culture. It should look “real” and like a “busy apartment” and not like a backdrop. The doctor gives her friend the tip to take care of the apartment with the big parties.
