2023-24 Flu Vaccination Campaign: Who is it Aimed at and How to Get an Appointment

Who is the flu campaign aimed at?

The 2023-24 campaign includes flu and Covid-19 vaccinations at people 60 years or olderand systematic influenza vaccination child population from 6 to 59 months. Likewise, the pneumococcus vaccine will be administered to those who need it.

The main novelties for this campaign are the change in age from 65 to 60 years for flu vaccination, the inclusion of Smokers within the target groups for influenza and the expansion of the group of professionals exposed to animals.

How can I get an appointment?

You can make an appointment through the usual channels -ClicSalud+, App Salud Andalucía, App Salud Responde, telephone number 955 54 50 60 from Salud Responde and by contacting your health center when vaccination is enabled for each group.

To request a vaccination appointment in ClicSalud+ and App Salud Andalucía, the available option will be used “Flu/COVID Vaccination”.

In many cases it will not be necessary to make an appointment for vaccination since the vaccines will be administered as part of the usual health follow-up (institutionalized people with chronic pathologies, for example).

Appointment for people with chronic pathologies and pregnant women. People between 5 and 60 years of age with chronic pathologies and pregnant women are recommended to consult with health professionals and make an appointment at the health center.

Appointment for health and social health professionals. SAS staff, along with students interning at their centers, were vaccinated preferably at their work centers since last October 9, in a coordinated manner following the instructions of their addresses and without needing to request an appointment.

Those health and socio-health professionals who wish to make an appointment for Flu / COVID vaccination and who do not have the option enabled for whatever reasons, can fill out this form (in order to analyze your situation and enable you to request an appointment if you meet the the indication for vaccination.

Mutualists and private insurance. People belonging to the Muface, Mugeju and Isfas mutual societies who have chosen a private service provider, and those whose insurance is exclusively private, and who have an indication for the COVID-19 vaccine, will receive it at the authorized centers of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) following the schedule described in the vaccination start dates, and they will be able to request an appointment in the Flu/COVID Vaccination option through the same channels as SAS users.

Regarding flu vaccination, they must follow the instructions of their entities for this vaccination, with the exception of those who reside in municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants (related to the agreement signed between the Andalusian Health Service and the mutual societies for the provision of certain services in rural areas), who, according to this agreement, will be vaccinated in the SAS primary care centers.

Children’s flu vaccination and appointment

Systematic flu vaccination of minors is aimed at those who are between 6 and 59 months old (both inclusive), that is, up to 4 years and 11 months. This vaccine can be administered at the same time as other vaccines on the schedule.

To request a vaccination appointment in ClicSalud+ and App Salud Andalucía, the available option “Children’s Flu Vaccination” will be used.
