Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co.,Ltd. (“Zoomlion”; 1157.HK) is taking steps to launch its Onsite Engineering Certificate Program (OECP) in celebration of this year’s International Education Day with the theme “Changing Course, Transforming Education”. To this end, the company has entered into partnerships with educational institutions, among other things, and is strengthening the further training of specialists in the construction machinery industry so that they are prepared to face the changes and challenges of the Industry 4.0 era.
Since 2003, Zoomlion has been working closely with several vocational schools in Hunan Province, and more than 40 percent of Zoomlion’s current employees working on-site are vocational college graduates.
In line with the theme of International Education Day 2022, Zoomlion is making important changes that help realize everyone’s fundamental right to education and build a more sustainable and inclusive future.
As part of the program, Zoomlion has established a “Zoomlion Course” that invites senior technicians to teach and guide students, providing them with diverse and equal educational opportunities to gain hands-on work experience sooner and faster. Popular OECP projects include a new apprentice program and training to improve professional skills, expanded industrial robot, CNC machining and intelligent manufacturing curricula, among others, in 10 schools since 2020 to meet the rapid advancement of Industry 4.0.

Our new projects are adding teaching robots, a virtual integrated welding simulation training system and more to cope with future intelligent development trends. By establishing education as a top priority, Zoomlion has been able to drive its industrial transformation with well-trained professionals. The Zoomlion Smart Industrial City currently under construction includes eight world-leading “tower factories” and more than 300 intelligent production lines, and the talent development program students will be the driving force to further advance Zoomlion’s intelligent manufacturing development.
By educating professionals for the construction machinery industry, Zoomlion has achieved mutual benefits for all stakeholders, namely students, companies, schools and the industry at large.
