Zelensky’s meeting with Macron, Scholz, Draghi and Iohannis ended, Ukraine has stable support for the coalition

Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak informed on Telegram on June 16th.

“Ukraine has the stable support of the international coalition. We have handed over to the leaders of states a full package of sanctions proposals against Russia, which prepared by the McFaul-Yermak International Group. We must increase pressure on the aggressor, work on the seventh package of sanctions with the gas embargo,” he wrote after the meeting.



Before the start of negotiations, Yermak informed that among the topics to be discussed by the leaders– food security, provision of arms and support to Ukraine, and Ukraine’s application for obtaining the status of a candidate member of the EU.

Context:

Scholz, Macron and Draghi together arrived in Kyiv on the morning of June 16. The French President said that they intend to meet with Zelensky and visit Irpin, Kyiv region. The President of Romania also arrived in Ukraine today.

Scholz, upon arrival in Ukraine, said that Germany and other European countries continue to provide assistance to Ukraineand Yohannis demanded an end to Russian aggression.

For all four leaders, this is the first visit to Ukraine since the start of a full-scale Russian invasion.
