Ammon – The Egyptian star, Yousra, is making up for her absence from her fans during the upcoming Ramadan drama season, through her dramatic and cinematic presence during the current month of January.
Yousra said, in press statements, that she was absent from the Ramadan season, out of a desire to rest this year, after maintaining her presence in Ramadan drama since 2020, as she presented a drama series in every Ramadan season, namely: “Betrayal of a Covenant,” and “ Civil War,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “1000 Thank God for Safety,” from 2020 until 2023, respectively.
“Rose and Laila” series:
As of January 11, the series “Rose and Laila” will begin showing, which deals with a group of situations, events, and stories that are classified as “black comedy,” and the work is not devoid of scenes of action, suspense, and adventure. The two heroines of the series play the role of two independent investigators, who are contracted to uncover a possible fraud in one of the major banks. It is their responsibility to uncover this operation and how to plan it.
With the start of their mission and their lack of experience, these two investigators, “Rose” (Yousra) and “Laila” (Nelly Karim), fall into several problems that endanger their lives, and the events of the series begin to be exciting, and its directions change, so the two heroines of the work begin trying to save their lives.
The series had completed filming a full year ago, before its ten episodes were released on a digital platform.
The movie “Eid Night”:
In a related context, producer Ahmed Al-Sabki announced that the screening date for the movie “Eid Night,” starring Yousra, will be January 25. Participating in the film’s starring role alongside Yousra are: Abeer Sabry, Sayed Ragab, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Mayan Al-Sayed, Mahmoud Hafez, Yousra Al-Lawzi, Samiha Ayoub, who embodies the character of the narrator in the film, Hanadi Muhanna and Ahmed Khaled Saleh, and the work is written by Ahmed Abdullah, Directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz.
The work deals with the types of violence and oppression that women are exposed to in society, and its events take place in one day, between the vigil and the first day of Eid, and includes a number of related stories. Among the events of the work, Yusra embodies the character of a woman who is subjected to marital violence, and whose husband forces her to work as a maid in many… Houses, and through this work you will learn about the stories of the film’s heroes.
Yousra previously expressed her happiness in cooperating with Nelly Karim, whom she described as one of the most important artists of her generation, and the series “Rose and Laila” is considered the artist Yousra’s first experience with short drama series. Yousra had her first comedic-drama experience, during the month of Ramadan before last, starring in the series “Sweet Dreams,” accompanied by Ghada Adel and May Kassab.
