On the Berkenstraat in Stadskanaal, an 18-year-old girl was injured on Thursday evening when robbers stabbed her in the back for a home. The police arrested five minor suspects.

Two robbers stabbed the young woman in her back. They tried to steal her cell phone, bystanders report. The police are investigating whether it was indeed a robbery. The victim was taken to the hospital in Emmen. How she’s doing is unknown.
The police have arrested five young suspects. It concerns two women of 19 years from Stadskanaal and three boys of 14, 14 and 17 years from Stadskanaal, Groningen and Hoogezand. The five are still detained and will be examined on Friday. The police confiscated several knives.

Burgernet deployed
The street was partly closed due to the police investigation. A burgernet report was issued asking to look for two boys between 14 and 17 years old. Moments later, two suspects were arrested by the police.
