Xiaomi-Huawei Responds to New Competitors in the Laptop Market

A technology company known for producing smartphones, Infinix and Realme, started working in the realm of selling laptops. However, the company that first penetrated the laptop world, Xiaomi and Huawei, gave a response about the entry of the two new brands.

Head of Public Relations Xiaomi Indonesia, Stephanie Sicilia, said that her party welcomed the competition in the laptop sales market in Indonesia. He also considered it a healthy competition in the technology industry.

“We cannot comment on the competitor’s position in the market. However, we can say that Xiaomi received a positive response from our users for the RedmiBook 15 product,” he concluded.

In addition, Stephanie commented that with the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic, laptops have become one of the devices that support productivity from home, especially for distance learning and working from home.

Then he cited IDC’s latest data findings that explained sales of personal computers (PCs) in the second quarter of this year continued to strengthen, after experiencing a decline at the end of last year.
