WWE presented their biggest show of the summer with SummerSlam on August 23, 2020, live from the ThunderDome in Florida, here are the results of the event.
– The WWE SummerSlam 2020 Pre-Show begins with the panel of Charly, Renee Young, Booker T, JBL and Peter Rosenberg welcoming us.
– Behind the scenes, Sarah is with Zelina Vega’s clan. Angel Garza offers Sarah a flower as Charly is not there. Vega throws the flower to the ground and asks her to continue. Sarah asks him his reaction to the poisoning. Vega says there are more important things like his clients’ fight for titles. Even if she had poisoned Ford it doesn’t matter as he is 100% now. You also have to look at Bianca Belair who attacked him when she is innocent. Andade says they will be the next RAW champions.
– We present promotional videos on the fights and the panel discusses.
– Shayna Baszler joins the panel and says it doesn’t matter how the fight between Asuka and Sasha goes because she will be next. Nia Jax doesn’t want to know anything about the title, Nia is obsessed with her. When the suspension ends, she will be ready to face it.
– United States Championship – Singles Match
Apollo Crews (c) vs MVP
At the end of the fight, MVP wants to make his Playmaker, but Crews pushes him away and makes him his Sit Out Powerbomb for the count of three.
Gagnant : Apollo Crews
– After the fight, Benjamin and Lashley who were banned from ringside arrive, but Crews avoids them and flees.
– The panel discusses Orton vs. McIntyre and the Pre-Show ends like that. The panel also takes the opportunity to thank Renee Young for her career. Young thanks everyone in the WWE Universe as it is his last seconds on the air.
WWE SummerSlam Orlando, ThunderDome
Commentators are Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Samoa Joe for RAW, and for SmackDown Michael Cole and Corey Graves.
– WWE SummerSlam 2020 begins with the intro of the show, the pyros, the commentators welcome us and Asuka arrives in the ring.
– SmackDown Women’s Championship – Singles Match
Asuka vs Bayley (c) accompanied by Sasha Banks
At the end of the fight, Asuka applies a submission, Sasha wants to intervene, but Asuka kicks her. Then Asuka wants to charge Bayley, but Bayley avoids her and she hits Banks. Bayley takes the opportunity to make him an Inside Cradle for the count of three.
Winner: Bayley
– After the fight, Sasha steps into the ring to beat Asuka.
– Behind the scenes, we find Rey Mysterio with Dominik and his mother Angie. Dominik says he enjoys having Rey in his corner, but it’s his fight, Rey has to promise him one thing. Rey cuts him off and says he knows what Dominik is going to ask him, he can’t promise. Dominik says Rey has to let him take care of it on his own and be a man. Rey doesn’t have to intervene, he needs his word. Rey says he gives her his word even though it’s difficult.
– Kevin Owens arrives and takes his seat with the commentators for the next fight.
– RAW Tag Team Championship – Tag Team Match
