The WWE Draft 2021 starts tonight, which we will also be reminded of with an opening video before commentators Pat McAfee and Michael Cole welcome us to this special edition and go through today’s matchcard. The rules of the draft lottery this year will also be explained again by the commentator duo. Half of the raster is available today, the other half on Monday at RAW, but the brand changes will not take place until October 22, the night after WWE Crown Jewel. This is followed by the first round of the draft, as Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville come out to announce the first picks of Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night RAW.

The “Tribal Chief” and # 1 draft pick of the blue brand makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman, but first the finish of Reign’s match against “The Demone” Finn Balor is brought in at WWE Extreme Rules. Roman calls on the audience in the usual manner to acknowledge him. The audience response is insufficient for Paul Heyman, however, and he talks about the Demon no longer being undefeated. The “Head Of The Table” had carried out an exorcism and is now turning his gaze to Crown Jewel, which will not take place in Suplex City. Brock Lesnar will meet the “suplexorcist” Reigns and lose. As soon as Heyman has said this, Lesnar enters the scene to an immense pop of audience and delivers a long star down with the WWE Universal Champion. As expected, a brawl breaks out between the two and Lesnar clears Reigns from the ring. The Usos join in, but Jimmy and Jey each catch an F5, causing Roman and Heyman to flee.

Afterwards, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is not very enthusiastic about her move to Friday evening. While he is moving in, Baron Corbin introduces us to his new sidekick, Riddick Moss, who is now known as Madcap Moss, in a previously recorded video clip.

We get a look back at Extreme Rules when Sasha Banks made her return and Bianca Belair lost her chance at the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are back to announce the second round of the draft.

Unlike “The Queen”, Drew McIntyre is delighted with his return to the blue brand. Although he had a good time on RAW, he still has some unresolved issues with his new show. A dark cloud hovers over SmackDown and the Scot is the one to break through it. His goal is Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Championship. Back in the arena, WWE Hall Of Famer Edge celebrates its entry to the ring to loud audience reactions. He says he’s the only person here who was there for the first edition of SmackDown. Now he is sent to RAW, which he sees as a challenge. The “Rated R Superstar” also has a chick to pick with Seth Rollins after he attacked and again incapacitated him three weeks ago in Madison Square Garden. Edge says he is on his way back to full strength and asks the “Architect” to come out. A laughing Rollins appears on the Titantron and is happy to be here, because he is at the front door of Edge’s home! He gains entry and asks about Beth Phoenix before grabbing an apple and orange juice and admiring the backpacks of Edge’s children. Meanwhile, the “Rated R Superstar” storms into the backstage area. As Rollins takes a seat in the library, Edge can be seen desperately trying to reach Beth and tell her to ignore the shopping and go to her brother’s house.

Now the match between Carmella and Liv Morgan was supposed to follow, but the latter attacked “The Most Beautiful Women In All Of WWE” before the bell rang. Then Carmella rolled out of the ring and to some women she had brought with her who put a mask on her. Carmella then went back into the ring and gave Liv Morgan the X-Factor, among other things. Time for the third round of the draft.

Now Jeff Hardy is to be interviewed backstage, but Brock Lesnar interrupts the project, pushes Hardy and Kayla Braxton out of the way and announces that thanks to Paul Heyman he is officially a free agent and can do whatever he wants. Mic drop!

The camera now shows the personal wardrobe of the “Tribal Chief”, where Paul Heyman seems extremely nervous. Roman asks if he and Paul are good friends, to which Heyman naturally replies in the affirmative. The WWE Universal Champion says that if they are friends, he has to make sure that the Usos are drafted to SmackDown. Heyman says he’s the wise man, but Roman seems to smile away before yelling at his companion, “You’re only the wise man when I say you’re the wise man!” Reigns orders Heyman to go to RAW and make sure that Jimmy and Jey Uso will continue to stay with the blue fire. Paul can’t thank the “Head Of The Table” quickly enough and disappears. Reigns also orders the Usos to RAW to ensure the correct execution of his instruction. If “Paul E. Dangerously” fails, let them leave him to die.

Sasha Banks won against Bianca Belair via pin after a roll-up.

After the match, Charlotte shows up and takes off Banks and Belair, only to tease a duel with WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Friday Night SmackDown goes off-air with these images.
