User Spotify who are wearing an iPhone with iOS 14.8 or iOS 15 may feel battery iPhoneit runs out faster when using the Spotify service.
This has been acknowledged by Spotify, which states that there is a problem in their application and makes the battery consumption on the device much more wasteful. This more extravagant power consumption is also followed by a significant increase in temperature on the iPhone.
Previously, there had been many reports from iPhone users who said that their device’s battery drains faster, and the problem stems from activity in the background.
In addition to iOS 14.8 and iOS 15, this power issue also occurs on iPhones running older versions of iOS.
Spotify provides an emergency way to overcome this. Namely by restarting the application or even reinstalling it. If it still doesn’t work, users are advised to try turning off Background App Refresh in Settings-General-Background App Refresh.
It seems that this may be a common thing, considering that iOS 15 also has a number of other problems. Users reported a number of issues such as 5G connection, connection to AirPods Pro, and so on.
Spotify can’t say for sure when they will be able to fix this excessive power consumption problem. They can’t even tell if the problem is coming from the app or some other source. Spotify can only advise users to keep their iOS version updated when a newer one becomes available.
Previously reported, iOS 15 also had problems with the storage section on the iPhone and iPad. Some iPhone users have reported seeing an ‘iPhone Storage Almost Full’ warning in Settings, even though there’s still plenty of internal memory left.
This bug seems to affect some iPhone models regardless of available storage space. When the user tries to delete some files, this warning still cannot be removed.
