I said I didn’t follow the quarantine rules… I fell and broke my arm

This is a video that has recently been spreading on Chinese video platforms such as Douyin and Twitter.

Quarantine officers surround a man, put their hand on the wall, spread their legs and search his body.

Then, suddenly, he trips the man’s leg and bends his arm into submission.

Quarantine officers sometimes press down on men’s bodies with their knees.

The man appeals: “I have to take that medicine”, but without success.

Local media reported that the incident occurred on the 1st in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia.

This happened when Peng Mo, a male victim classified as a close contact of a person infected with Corona 19 and quarantined in a hotel, escaped through the back door of the hotel and the quarantine officers subdued him.

Peng was hospitalized due to a chronic illness and was recently discharged.

Local quarantine authorities said, “The perpetrators are the police who controlled the quarantine hotel.”

“The perpetrators have apologized to Mr. Peng for the violence, and those involved will be severely punished according to the law,” he said.

A series of violent controversies on the quarantine

Not long ago, the ‘prevention of violence’ took place in Haizhu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.

On the 17th, it was controversial that two women were tied up in the street and kneeled in the street for failing to comply with quarantine regulations.

It is known that they tried to exit the Corona 19 checkpoint to have their food delivered.

Quarantine officers forcibly suppressed them, saying they were not wearing masks, and tried to flee the controlled area.

In response to the violence prevention controversy, Chinese netizens criticize, “Violence is unacceptable for any reason, and you shouldn’t abuse your power in the name of quarantine.”
