On Sunday, a 55-year-old woman was sexually abused by a man on the ring road from Bladel to Reusel. A week and a half ago, on April 21, a 15-year-old girl was almost pulled from her bicycle on the same road. It is possible that both cases involve the same perpetrator.
Police are investigating and would like to get in touch with more witnesses. She has already spoken to the victims and possible witnesses.
Passer-by helped woman
The 55-year-old woman was cycling on the Rondweg in the night from Saturday to Sunday around half past three when she was pulled from her bicycle. The man who did this then sexually abused her in the bushes. When a cyclist came by, he came to the aid of the victim and the perpetrator ran away in the direction of Bladel.
On the same road on April 21, a girl was cycling in the opposite direction when she was nearly knocked to the ground. This happened around half past ten in the evening. By cycling away, the girl managed to escape the man. This man was also on foot when he wanted to assault the victim. And just like on May 1, it was a remarkably short man.
Possible connection
According to the police, it is still unclear whether the cases are related despite a number of similarities.
