A 31-year-old woman in Vienna took her three children on Saturday and then called the police to say she would take her own life.

Alarmed police found the lifeless bodies of an eight-month-old baby and a three-year-old girl in the apartment in Vienna’s Donaustadt district. The woman’s nine-year-old daughter turned out to be alive and was rushed to hospital, but the doctors there were unable to save her life.
The woman had sustained minor injuries to herself. She admitted to taking the lives of her daughters. Local media report that the girls were killed by suffocation.
