The lack of capital was a factor that held us back – said Piotr Zaremba, President of ElectroMobility Poland. Only PLN 250 million from the State Treasury allowed the company to move forward. The creators of Izera argue that they are on the right track to start mass production of the Polish electric car in 2024. They want to repeat the success of the Opel factory in Gliwice and the change in the perception of the Kia brand in our market.
At the end of 2021, the Polish electric car factory was to be under construction. The platform, i.e. a key component for an electric car, was to be obtained from an external supplier, and the construction of the supply chain was to be completed.
Such ambitious plans were presented by the founders of Izera, i.e. the company ElectroMobility Poland, at premiere of prototypes in July 2020. Today we know that all this is still planned. And another promise is made – that now the project of the Polish electric car will gain momentum thanks to new people who have joined the company’s management in recent days.
