Why Do People Often Wake up at 3 or 4 in the Morning? Experts Explain

Beauties, are you one of those who often wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning? Wellthis phenomenon is apparently experienced by around one in three people and is thought to be many more since the pandemic began.

This is apparently humane. According to sleep experts, waking up and feeling worried at these hours is related to stress, although not directly.

Greg Murray, Director of the Mental Health Center at Australia’s Swinburne University of Technology, said stress does not make someone wake up more often at night, but makes them more aware of it happening.

“We actually wake up many times every night and sleep more often in the second half of the night,” he wrote for The Conversation, quoted from IFL Science.

“When we sleep soundly, we are not aware of these waking times. However, when there is a little stress, there is a high probability of waking up and becoming fully conscious,” he added.

Murray explained that stress is not the only factor that can make us wake up at 3 am. Erratic schedules, even a lack of fresh air can disrupt the quality of sleep, waking us up at night.
