Who are the astronauts transported by the Orion ship in Mission Artemis 1?

Jakarta, CNNI Indonesia

The US Aeronautics and Space Administration’s SLS rocket (NASA) has already brought the plane Orion to orbit the Moon on the Artemis 1 mission. How many astronauts did it carry?

To collect The limit, Orion is designed for missions beyond Earth orbit. The hope is that Orion could be used to reach potential destinations like the Moon and Mars.

Orion has a brilliant appearance that helps him adapt to the extreme temperatures in space. He also has a heat shield which will come in handy when he returns to Earth.

For safety features, Orion has an astronaut launcher that will work if there is a safety issue during launch. Orion itself can accommodate four people on a 21-day mission in space.

So, were there astronauts in Orion on the Artemis 1 mission?

On this mission, Orion brought an “astronaut” in the form of three mannequins or artificial human dolls strapped inside. One of the mannequins is named after Commander Moonikin Campos and is dressed like a real astronaut.

The clothes will be used by the astronauts for the next mission. In addition to Campos, there are Helga and Zohar dummies equipped with radiation detectors.

NASA wants to see the impact of radiation that can be felt by astronauts during a trip to the moon. NASA equipped Zohar with radiation protection, but Helga did not.

In the Artemis 1 mission, NASA does not include astronauts because it is a test mission. This is also the first time the SLS rocket and Orion aircraft have been used for a trip to the Moon.

To collect Cnn, Orion’s aircraft has now achieved the record for the furthest distance from Earth, which is 432 km. It marks the halfway point of Artemis I’s 25.5-day mission.

Orion will then circle the Moon before returning to Earth. Artemis I was hugely successful and accomplished a number of historic events,” said NASA Director Bill Nelson.

Monday’s results show that Orion is the first spacecraft designed to carry humans into a distant retrograde lunar orbit.

Orion is scheduled to land on Earth on December 11th. On its way, Orion will reach speeds of 24,500 mph or 39,428 km/hour towards Earth.

Orion will descend to the upper atmosphere before stopping again to reduce its speed. It will then enter the atmosphere to descend, at a speed of 27,000 km/hour.

Orion will be slowed down by parachute before diving into the Pacific Ocean, where it will be recovered by US Navy ships.
