President Daniel Noboa has replaced Daniel Calderon by Alegría Crespo Cordovez in the Ministry of Education in the second change that has been announced since on Sunday the government triumphed in nine of the eleven questions of the popular consultation.
On Sunday night, the government announced Michele Sensi as the new Government Minister instead of Monica Palenciawho is now head of the Ministry of the Interior, of which she was in charge.
Quiteña, 46 years old, Crespo has a Ph.D in Educational Sciences from the National University of Rosario, Argentina. She has a master’s degree in Education and a degree in Communication from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. She has been Vice-Rector of the Johannes Kepler School and professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, the University of Las Américas and at the Israel Technological University.
She is the founder of Educar con Alegría, a portal focused on enriching the educational community. She is the author of two books, ‘Creativity and Education’, and ‘In the Eucalyptus Forest: capsules to oxygenate the soul’.
