Wheel Spinning, Alex Ferguson Behind Quipped After Liverpool Premier League Champion

KOMPAS.com – Liverpool legend Phil Thompson quipped Sir Alex Ferguson after his former club won the Premier League in 2019-2020.

Sir Alex Ferguson once gave a controversial sentence when leading Manchester United won the 20th English League title.

That moment happened at the end of the 2012-2013 season. At that time, Ferguson said that his best achievement was to replace Liverpool as the most successful team in England.

The statement was accompanied by harsh words that seemed to denigrate Liverpool.

“We returned to the summit. We have been waiting for a long time,” said Thompson, as reported by Mirror, Saturday (6/27/2020).
