jpnn.com – WhatsApp users on iPhone will no longer be able to use the feature that automatically saves media sent in the form of “Dissapearing Messages”.

“Dissapearing Messages” are messages that a user can send, but can disappear within a set time after being opened by the recipient of the message.

Normally this feature will automatically save image or video messages that have been opened to the iPhone gallery.

However, with the latest update from WhatsApp, later images or videos sent with “Dissapearing Messages” can be set so that they are no longer automatically saved.

The “Save to Camera Roll” option is now automatically turned off to get rid of the chat.

This means that images, videos, and GIFs will not be saved even if the general autosave setting is enabled.

This was done because it was feared that the previous feature removed the essence of “Dissapearing Messages” which focused on privacy.

If you really want to save photos or videos, users can save them manually or take screenshots.
