The exhibition “Klimt. The Secession and Italy “. The exhibition Caravaggio and Artemisia: Giuditta’s challenge is currently underway at Palazzo Barberini. Violence and seduction in painting between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries by Maria Cristina Terzaghi. Housed in the new rooms on the ground floor of Palazzo Barberini, the exhibition celebrates fifty years since the acquisition by the Italian state and seventy years since the discovery of the famous painting by Caravaggio kept in Palazzo Barberini: Giuditta and Oloferne. Giacomo Boni. The dawn of modernity “, the” widespread “exhibition between the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum
The Archaeological Park of the Colosseum dedicates a large exhibition to the figure of Giacomo Boni (Venice, 1859 – Rome, 1925): the life and personality of the famous archaeologist and architect are told in the places where he mainly worked and whose current he designed physiognomy like the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Self-taught, with a training as a draftsman in Venetian construction sites, over time he became an archaeologist and architect developing innovative methods of excavation – starting with the stratigraphic one – of restoration, documentation and enhancement. Given the success of the “Inferno” exhibition, on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 January 2022 the Quirinale Stables extend their opening hours until 22. A walk along one of the most evocative stretches of the Via Appia Antica organized by the 10 guides of Rome association. Over the weekend, two appointments on the snow are scheduled on Monte Autore and Monte Nevagna.
