WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF KADİR NIGHT?
In the dictionary, the word kadr (kadr) means “judgment, honor, power, glory”. In the religious literature, it is used as the name of the night in which the Quran was downloaded as “leyletü’l-Kadr”. The 97th episode of the same name has been the subject of the virtue of this night. It is stated that the Quran was sent down at the night of Kadir and that the night mentioned was better than a thousand months.
When the information given during the time of Kadr was taken together with the verses that the Qur’an was sent down in the month of Ramadan (al-Baqara 2/185) and in a blessed night (ed-Duhân 44 / 3-4) where all wise works were decided, the night of Kadir was in the month of Ramadan. results. The hadiths that this night should be searched for single nights in the last ten or seven days of Ramadan (Bukharî, “Fażl leyleti’l-Ḳadr”, 2-3; Muslim, “Ṣıyâm”, 205-220) give some clues about the night. Although the 27th night of Ramadan comes to the fore in the narrations coming from the Companions in this regard (Muslim, “âalâtü’l-musâfirîn”, 179-180, “Ṣıyâm”, 220-221; Abu Dâvûd, “Şehru Ramażân”, 2, 6; Tirmizî , “Ṣavm”, 72) as these narrations are controversial, they do not express certainty. In some transfers, Hz. It is reported that the Prophet attempted to inform the time of the night of Kadir, but after the two companions, who had disagreement about it at the time, applied to the Messenger of Allah, he was removed from the mind of the subject (Buhârî, “Fasul leyletl’l-Ḳadr”, 4; Muslim, “Ṣıyâm”, 217; Dârimî, “Ṣavm”, 56).
