Lens survivor, Boulogne, Nœux, Cambrai and Le Touquet scalpés, relive our direct Coupe de France

The seventh round of the Coupe de France is started on a very good basis for northern clubs, after the success of Dunkirk (Nat.) in Le Havre (L2) (3-1), Friday. Who to accompany Claude Robin’s men in the eighth round in early December? Of the five clubs entered this Saturday, only Lens (L2) a won his qualification, forceps, against Boulogne (Nat) (3-1 a.p). Without demerit, Noeux (R1) and Cambrai (R1) were eliminated by little, but by stronger. Beaten in Normandy (0-1), Le Touquet (N3) can feed some regrets.

Eliminated in Gonfreville, Le Touquet woke up too late

In a match between clubs of N3, the last word came to Gonfreville, who by the only goal of the match signed Thioubou (55th) won his qualification for the 8th round of the Coupe de France. Sleeping during an hour of play, Bertrand Duquesnoy’s troupe made the seat of the gonfrevillais goal in the last half hour, without success. End clap.

GONFREVILLE (N3) – LE TOUQUET (N3): 1-0 (0-0).

                    Goal: Thioubou (55th).

Cambrai logically yields against Quevilly-Rouen

The adventure ends there for Cambrai. This Saturday afternoon, at the Liberty stadium, the Cambrésiens of Vincent Carpentier are not failed to create the exploit. Deprived of the ball during almost the entire match, the Yellow and Black fell apart at a strong time in Quebec City after returning from the locker room. Alone at the far post on a Pianelli center, De Araujo, born in Tourcoing, trained at LOSC and passed through Boulogne and Dunkirk, adjusted flat-footed Agez (0-1, 59th). Sufficient to offer a logical qualification of the Normans.

AC CAMBRAI (R1) – QUEVILLY-ROUEN (Nat): 0-1 (0-0).

                    Goal: De Araujo (59th).

In pain, Lens resists the carnage

For its entry into the competition, Lens hardly pushed aside Boulogne-sur-Mer (Nat.), Saturday in Bollaert. Leaders of L2, the Sang et Or had to go through the “extension” box. The RCL opened the scoring on a superb free kick from their midfielder Manu Perez (53rd), before the players of Laurent Guyot returned to the match, thanks to a goal from Id Azza (76th). Entered at the end of regular time, Jules Keïta out of his box ten minutes from the end to fold the case for the Lensois (107th, 109th), who finally won 3-1. A lesser evil, while among the Ligue 2 teams, Le Havre, Troyes, Ajaccio, Grenoble, Guingamp, Châteauroux, Clermont and Sochaux have already fallen.

LENS (L2) – BOULOGNE (Nat): 3-1 a.p (1-1, 1-1).

Goals: M. Perez (53rd), J. Keita (107th, 109th) for Lens; Id Azza (76th) for Boulogne.

Dominated by Bastia-Borgo, Nœux leaves the cup with their heads held high

The step was once again too high for Noeux-les-Mines. Opposed to Bastia-Borgo (National 1), the Artésiens logically tilted facing the Corsicans at the Camille-Tisserand stadium (0-2), full for the occasion (2000 spectators). Close to opening the scoring by Delsart (13th), and thus see their excellent start rewarded, the Noeuxois held the 0-0 until the break, but have released after rest, yielding twice on a distant takeover from Cropanese (50th), and another at close range from Odzoumo (77th). As there are two faces to RC Lens (0-5), the adventure ends on the 7th lap for the USN, eliminated with honors by a formation evolving three divisions above.
