The 36-year-old Schut has a well-viewed YouTube account, where he gives a daily glimpse into his life as an agent. More than 260,000 people have subscribed to his channel. Schut reported via Twitter that he would report the threat. He was not yet available for comment on Sunday.

Target

A spokesperson for the National Unit, of which the police vlogger is part, says the case is being investigated. “The police personnel are often targeted after big performances and everyone has a thick skin. But these kinds of messages are not going to bother you. ”

Koen Simmers of the NPB police union is also shocked. “Of course we are used to being called out for everything on the street. But this is a real nasty threat. ”

The union is currently not known whether more threats have been made after the broadcast of Zembla. A spokeswoman for the police force also indicates that as far as known no more threats have been received. “This is very bad for the officer involved. Moreover, he is not part of the dog handlers. ”

Police dog

The Zembla broadcast showed images of an arrest with a police dog from the Rotterdam police last March. In addition, the suspect was bitten several times while he was lying on the ground.

The police and the Public Prosecution Service informed Zembla that an internal investigation is underway into the behavior of the dog handler from the video.
