The weather will be intermittent tomorrow, Great Saturdayfor most regions of the country, but the Easter Sunday the scenery changes with the sun dominating and helping to bake the arrowroot.
In the Ionian, continental and Aegean regions, rainfall of a local character and moderate intensity will occur during the day. The temperature will reach 24 degrees Celsius and the winds will blow from the northwest from 4 – 7 Beaufort. In Attica the weather will be cloudy, with the temperature from 15-23 degrees and the winds at 4-7 Beaufort. In Thessaloniki the weather will be rainy. The temperature from 14 – 20 degrees and the winds at 3 – 5 Beaufort.
Specifically, from the beginning of Holy Saturday, local rains will occur in places in Western and Northern Greece and in island parts of the Northern and Eastern Aegean, while many areas of the country will be progressively affected. The phenomena will be more intense in Central and Northern Greece, in the islands of the Northern and Eastern Aegean and in the Dodecanese. At the same time, transient hailstorms are likely to occur in continental areas. Until the evening the phenomena will be limited to the south-eastern mainland and the Aegean.
As far as the two major urban centers are concerned, rain and sporadic storms will occur in Thessaloniki, while in Athens it is possible that a temporary rain or storm will occur after noon.
Forecast for Easter Sunday
Clouds with local rains in the central and southern Aegean, eastern Sterea and Evia. Soon the phenomena in most areas will stop and only in Crete will they continue until the evening hours. In the rest of the regions, a few clouds temporarily increased, in places in the continental areas in the midday and afternoon hours, so there will be sporadic rain in the mountains.
Winds to the west will be north northwest 4 to 6 Beaufort but will quickly weaken and become variable 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the east, winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6 and in the Aegean temporarily local 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise mainly in the Ionian and mainland and will reach 23 to 25 degrees in the Ionian, continental and Dodecanese and in the rest of the island country 20 to 22 degrees Celsius.
