In New York’s Central Park, the Greek Theater in Los Angeles and under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a bevy of world stars performed for charity for 24 hours. Other cities such as Mumbai, Rio De Janeiro, Sydney, Lagos and Seoul were also linked to the Global Citizen Event. In Paris there were more than 20,000 spectators, in New York there were more than 60,000. The performances were streamed in 120 countries worldwide. The celebrities want to put pressure on the world’s top in the fight for climate, world health and poverty reduction. The benefit concert will also be broadcasted on Monday evening at 10.45 pm.
