A dispute between four men escalated last night at the train station in Waldshut.
One of the participants stayed unconscious.
At around 7.45 p.m. he had come to the first meeting of the four men aged 18 to 27 at the bus station. There, a 20-year-old is said to have insulted the other men.
The three men left the location and when they returned they met the 20-year-old again in the underpass at the train station.
This is said to have drawn a knife in the course of another conflict. The three men were able to overpower the alleged attacker in a scramble and remove the knife. In the process, he lost consciousness.
He came to a clinic in Freiburg with a rescue helicopter. There is no danger to life.
The other participants remained unharmed. The knife was confiscated.
The police have started an investigation into the exact course of events.
