He, Hans Hauser, ski instructor and a schiidol of his era from the Zistelalm on the Gaisberg. District Gazette: Mr. Hauser, you were less than a month old when Virginia Hill died. Did you know Hans Hauser?
Michael Hauser: As an eight-year-old you can’t really talk about knowing. He was my great-uncle, my grandfather’s brother. I can remember that he introduced him to me. Hans was just as tall as my grandfather. Both were over six feet. That made a big impression on me as a boy. Hans was even five foot four. You just picked up a lot within the family in the later years.
