The female figure is known as Eci Agus Sugiyarso, who is none other than the wife of the Tebingtinggi City Police Chief AKBP Agus Sugiyarso.
In the video circulating, the woman wearing a T-shirt with the Tribrata logo and a black hat is dancing while showing off a wad of money in her hand. The video was uploaded on TikTok with the account @ecimot512. Later, the 14-second video has been deleted.
“It will be checked later, it’s not allowed. It’s a habit of showing off money for what, I’ll check,” said the Kapolda, in his statement, Friday (29/10).
Panca asked members of the police and the general public to be careful uploading videos on social media.
“Be careful using your fingers, against the community as well, not only police officers. Maybe a photo showing off money, is it showing off or not? We will prove it later,” he said.
According to Panca, his party will explore the purpose of Eci Agus Sugiyarso showing off a wad of money. He asked the public to entrust the handling of the case to his side.
“It can lead to multiple interpretations, I will look into it. If that happens, just trust me, I will investigate. Why is that, is it true to show off money and what is the purpose, is it true or not to show off money, we will investigate later,” he explained.
Previously, the National Police issued a Telegram Letter Number ST/30/XI/HUM.4.3/2019 dated November 15, 2019, which contained the application of a simple lifestyle without a luxurious lifestyle.
The telegram, which was signed by Listyo Sigit when he was the Head of the Propam Police Division, contained seven simple lifestyle guidelines for members of the National Police.
First, not showing, wearing, showing off luxury items in everyday life, both in social interactions at work and in public areas.
Second, always take care of oneself, placing oneself (with) a simple lifestyle in the internal environment of the National Police and in social life.
Third, do not upload photos or videos on social media that show a hedonistic lifestyle, because it can cause social jealousy.
Fourth, adjusting legal norms, compliance, appropriateness to the conditions of the living environment. Fifth, use the attributes of the National Police in accordance with the division, for leveling.
Sixth, the leadership, Kasatwil, officers can provide examples of good behavior and attitudes (by) not showing a hedonistic lifestyle, especially Bhayangkari and the Polri extended family.
