Violent Knife Attacks in Paris: Two Men Seriously Injured on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis – Investigation Underway

A violent attack broke out on Saturday March 2, 2024 in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. Two men were attacked with a knife at 13 rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis by two other men, learned Paris news from a police source.

An open investigation

According to this same source, the attack took place around 2:45 a.m. on the night of Saturday to Sunday. Two employees of the bar, Le Sully, were attacked by two customers who were “creating trouble outside the bar”.

It was at this time that they were attacked by the two men who fled after the incident. The first victim was taken to Georges Pompidou after being hit lightly in the chest. On the other hand, the second employee’s life is in jeopardy after being hit in the lower back. He was taken to Henri Mondor hospital in Créteil.

The prosecution indicates to Paris news that a blatant investigation has been opened to “attempted intentional homicide following an altercation”. It is carried out by the 10th arrondissement police station.

A second attack on rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis

Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis was the scene of a second attack this Saturday evening, with no apparent link. A few hours earlier, at 192, around 9:25 p.m., a man suffered facial injuries following a blow from a blade. “The wound is light, but 25 centimeters long,” confirms our source. The victim was transported to Lariboisière hospital.

After fleeing, the perpetrator returned. He was arrested and taken into custody. Three knivesin addition to that used in the attack, were found on him.
