Hanoi (VNA) – Plan International released a report on November 5 titled “Little Girls in Asia-Pacific 2021: Voice, Choice and Power”.
According to this report, Vietnam is one of the pioneering countries in Asia in terms of guaranteeing the rights of young girls to participate in politics and in political choices.
The report compares the opportunities for girls and women in leadership positions in 19 Asian and 14 peaceful countries. The areas studied are education, health, economic opportunity, protection, representativeness, political voice, law and policies.
Vietnam ranks fourth among the 19 Asian countries studied. It is in first position, tied with the Philippines and Thailand in terms of law and policies, and second in terms of representativeness, behind Singapore.-VOV / VNA
