Vicat creates a waste treatment subsidiary

The cement group Vicat announced on Friday the creation of a subsidiary dedicated to the treatment and recovery of energy and mineral waste, with two platforms located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Vicat underlines that in 2019 the use of fuels and substitute materials made it possible to recover nearly 450,000 tonnes of waste in its five French cement factories, contributing to its objectives of reducing CO2 emissions.
