Iker Casillas left FC Porto after five years. The goalkeeper (39) ‘s contract has not been renewed by the club. Porto says goodbye to Casillas in a special video.
Casillas suffered a heart attack last year and has not played a league game since April 2019. Porto gave him a role in the coaching staff and also left him registered as a player, but no longer reached him in the game selection. Whether this is the end of Casillas’ career is not clear. He played for Real Madrid from 1999 to 2015 and won the 2008 European Championship, 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship with Spain.

Incidentally, the Spanish association posted on Twitter a video that reflects on the unprecedented performance of the Spanish team to win both the European Championship 2008, the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship, but Casillas has a supporting role in that video. “I don’t know if I did something wrong, but if I do, I apologize. I will never forget you ‘, Casillas writes in turn.
I don’t know if I’ve done something wrong to @SeFutbol, but if so, I apologize. I never forget you, always my Selection! ???????? #Good night all
