In the fresh Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS), a new manufacturer has appeared on the CX-30 – according to the published document, the cars will be produced at the plant in Vladivostok. Mazda announced that Russian-assembled SUVs will go on sale on January 15, 2021, and at the same time shared a list of trim levels for the Russian market and announced the price of one of the versions that will be the first to reach dealers.

In Russia, the SUV with a length of 4395 mm will have a two-liter aspirated engine with a capacity of 150 hp. The basic version has a manual transmission and front-wheel drive. For a surcharge, they will offer a six-speed “automatic”, and in addition they will bring an all-wheel drive modification with an uncontested automatic transmission. There will be three trim levels: Drive, Active and Supreme. The starting price has not yet been announced, but it is already known that for a car in the potentially most popular Active configuration with climate control, rain and light sensors, heated front seats, cruise control, a multimedia system (with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces) and projection the display will have to pay 1 million 869 thousand rubles.

For comparison: the Mazda CX-5 crossover in the Active configuration with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive is estimated at 2 million 7 thousand rubles, and the starting price of the basic version of the Drive with “mechanics” is 1 million 742 thousand rubles. Therefore, it is possible that the initial price of the junior SUV CX-30 will be about 1.6 million rubles. The entire price list will be published very soon.
