Vermouth Session, one of the best musical initiatives in the region due to its originality and closeness, once again fills the municipalities of Madrid starting this weekend to enjoy the best performances in the open air and in spring weather. This cycle of free concerts organized by the Community of Madrid will take place from May 1 to 29, and in its third edition it presents a program of 83 concerts distributed in 42 days in 18 municipalitiesalways at aperitif time, and a luxury line-up with the presence of 42 bands and much prominence of national emerging talent, with room also for some established names of the indie scene and, one more year, the presence of all those promoters and independent labels that play a vital role in the fabric of the music industry.
In addition, this year Vermú Session has a special window for bands from Madrid under thirty to celebrate the European Year of Youth.
And it is that over five weekends we will be able to enjoy renowned artists such as Maika Makovski (Rascafría and Chinchón, May 28), Rufus T. Firefly (Rascafría and Chinchón May 14 and 29), Mr. Chinarro (Aranjuez and Pelayos de la Presa, May 7 and 8) or Tulsa (San Lorenzo de El Escorial and Torrelaguna, May 7 and 8), as well as some of the young proposals with the greatest projection of the moment, such as Niña Polaca (Colmenar de Oreja and Buitrago del Lozoya, May 21 and 22), Melenas (Nuevo Baztán and Buitrago del Lozoya, May 14 and 15), Jimena Amarillo (Chapinería and Torrelaguna, May 28 and 29), María Yfeu (Navalcarnero and Buitrago del Lozoya, May 7 and 8), Judeline (Manzanares El Real and San Lorenzo de El Escorial, May 14 and 15), and Kora (Nuevo Baztán and Navalcarnero, May 28 and 29), Anabel Lee (San Lorenzo de El Escorial and Villarejo de Salvanés, May 1 and 2), La Paloma (Chainería and Alcobendas, May 7 and 8) or Shanghai Baby (Aranjuez and Buitrago del Lozoya, May 21 and 22) .
Pepe Mopean, art director of the cycle, assures that in the programming “the great names of the young scene and with the greatest projection of the moment are represented”. Thus, names like Sonogram, Nat Simmons, Blades, Jordana B. Camellos, Biela, Bum Motion Club, Monteperdido, Amor Líquido, Lisasinson, Hickeys, Tile, Vosotras Veréis, La Plata, Brigitte Laverne, Cora Yako, Side Chick, Dan Millson , Laborde, Aiko El Grupo, Flores, Santi Araújo, Airu, Eterna Joventut, Ghouljaboy or Repion, among others, will complete an unbeatable music menu to taste at the time of the vermouth that is framed in the best possible scenario: the squares, corners and spaces of some of the most beautiful places and emblematic of the Community of Madrid.
As novelties in this edition, two new municipalities are incorporated, La Hiruela and Loeches, and two of the monumental ensembles most attractive in the region, the Monastery of Santa María de El Paular (Rascafría) and the Monastery of Santa María la Real (Pelayos de la Presa), and for yet another year Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Aranjuez, Buitrago del Lozoya, Bustarviejo, Chapinería, Chinchón, Colmenar de Oreja, Manzanares El Real, Navalcarnero, Nuevo Baztán, Pelayos de la Presa, Rascafría, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Torrelaguna and Villarejo de Salvanés.
With the Vermouth Session, music, gastronomy and tourism will go hand in hand for yet another year in this unbeatable cultural tour of the Community of Madrid, with free access until full capacity is reached at all concerts, without the need to make a prior reservation.
