Dr. Mustafa Mohammadi, Director General of Vaccera vaccinations, confirmed that there are similarities and differences between influenza and the emerging corona, indicating that seasonal flu and Covid-19 may be associated with different degrees of symptoms and signs of disease.
Muhammadi explained that the similar symptoms are:
High fever and shivering (tremors)
Cough
Feeling stressed
Throat pain
Runny nose
Muscle pain, general body pain, and headache
Some people may experience vomiting and diarrhea, although this is more often in children than in adults.
Muhammadi added that the differences between influenza and the emerging corona are:
flu
It may be a moderate to severe disease with the symptoms and signs mentioned above.
COVID-19
There are other symptoms that may accompany an emerging corona infection, which differ from those associated with influenza, such as changes or loss of sense of smell and taste.
