Düsseldorf: Airplane brings wounded children from Kabul to NRW | Regional

The aid organization “Friedensdorf International” from Dinslaken has now been able to fly out a total of 27 children from babies to twelve years old. The first rescue flight after the Taliban came to power.

The chartered Boeing 737-800 landed on Friday at 4.40 p.m. at Düsseldorf Airport and rolled into the cargo area at the airport train station. Six children have such acute injuries that they were brought to the tarmac in ambulances and driven to clinics in Solingen, Moers and Stolberg.

On Thursday evening, the helpers started for Kabul, not even 24 hours later the plane of hope touched down again in Düsseldorf-Lohausen. It won’t be the last flight that Hagedorn and her team will make.
