USA – Trump broadcasts a video with white supremacist chants

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has released a video on his Twitter account in which a white man shouts “White Power!” during a march in Florida.

The video refers to a retiree march for the president and security forces in Florida’s The Villages district, which welcomes a large retirement population, and is part of a Trump “retweet” that the President accompanies with the message “Thanks to the extraordinary of The Villages. The radical democratic left will fall in the fall. See you soon!”

The video, below, shows a group of retirees in a golf cart marching in front of a counter-protest against the President. As soon as the video started, a man behind the wheel of one of these cars proclaimed “White power!” with a raised fist.

The president has been accused of inflaming racial tensions in the country during his stay in the White House with winks to supremacist groups, although the Administration has denied similar gestures and assured that the president has condemned white supremacism on numerous occasions.

In one of the White House’s first reactions to the presidential broadcast of the video, Health Secretary Alex Azar said that the Trump Administration “has always condemned any gesture of white supremacism” and that the statements in the video are not representative of the president’s opinion.
