Investing.com – US stocks were higher Thursday as gains in the , and sectors pushed stocks higher.
At the close of trading in New York, it closed up 1.05%, while it was up around 1.75% and consolidated at 2.59%.
Among today’s top stocks was The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:NYSE), which rose 3.58%, or 3.01 points, to close at 87.18. On the other hand, Salesforce Inc (NYSE:) added 3.17% or 4.07 points to close at 132.54, while Apple Inc (NASDAQ:) added 2.83% or 3.57 points to 129.61 at the end of the session.
As for the worst performer at the end of the trading day, Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (NASDAQ: ) closed down 0.29%, or 0.11 points, and traded at 37.47 levels at the close. Merck & Co. (NYSE: ) fell 0.23%, or 0.26 points, to close at 110.82. Boeing Co (NYSE 🙂 closed up 0.28%, or 0.53 points, to 188.91.
The best performance of the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was instead recorded by a stock SVB Financial Gro (NASDAQ:), which rose 8.40% to $234.63, Tesla (NASDAQ:) also continued its 8.08% gain to close at 121.82, as did Warner Bros. Discovery Inc ( NASDAQ:) climbed 6.31% and closed trading at 9.43.
Stocks that underperformed today included Cardinal Health Inc. (NYSE:), shedding 1.12%, to 77.72%, CF Industries Holdings (NYSE:), shedding 0.96%, to 85.51, and Amerisource Bergen Corp. (NYSE:), which weakened 0.78% and closed at 166.05 in today’s trading session.
The best performance of the Nasdaq index was instead recorded by shares Therapeutics of Hoth Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose 143.64% to 10.72, Kala Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:) also continued its climb 99.04% and closed at 24.84 levels, as well as Palisade Bio Inc (NASDAQ:) climbed 77.90% and closed at a price of 3.22 .
Among the stocks that underperformed today, we mention FStar Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 40.38%, and closed the session at a price of 4.09, Jasper Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 21.97%, to a price of 0.46, and Th International Stock.Ltd (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 20.00% and closed today’s trading session at 2.60.
The number of gainers surpassed the number of stocks that finished lower on the New York Stock Exchange at 2,654 versus 448, while 72 remained unchanged. On the Nasdaq stock exchange, 3071 stocks strengthened their position and 666 withdrew, while 133 stocks held their value.

Dollar index futures fell 0.48% to 103.68.
