Uruguay Aims to Inject Ambition into WTO Talks
As the WTO’s 164 members (plus two brand new ones — Comoros and Timor Leste) convene this week to demonstrate the organization’s continued commitment to supporting free trade, Uruguay is determined to celebrate this milestone by urging for greater ambition in the ongoing negotiations. Failing to do so could risk lukewarm outcomes for the 1.6 million-square-foot convention center in Abu Dhabi where the discussions take place.
