The upgraded Mi-35P Phoenix attack transport helicopter has completed a typical flight test program. The upgraded machine entered serial production.

During the tests, which took place in Rostov-on-Don and the Mil and Kamov National Helicopter Engineering Center, the Mi-35P performed a number of flights using new weapons and on-board equipment. All declared characteristics have been successfully confirmed.

“Last year we demonstrated this aircraft to a number of potential customers, and today we can say with confidence that the helicopter is in demand – today the serial production of the Mi-35P has begun under the first contract concluded with a foreign customer,” said the general director of the holding. “Phoenix” is equipped with an upgraded sighting and sighting system with a third generation long-wave matrix thermal imager, a high-resolution color camera and a laser rangefinder. In addition, a new digital flight system was installed on the Mi-35P, which automated the piloting process. The modified sighting and computing system has increased the accuracy of hitting targets.

The upgraded helicopter received a two-barreled movable 23-mm cannon, unguided missiles of the S-8 type, it is also possible to install suspended cannon containers, unguided rockets of the S-13 type, anti-tank guided missiles “Attack” or missiles “Vikhr-1” and “Vikhr-1M” … New long-range missiles allow the helicopter to destroy targets before entering the zone of manual air defense systems.

The equipment and night vision devices allow the Mi-35P helicopter to fly at any time of the day in simple and limited adverse weather conditions. The maximum speed of the helicopter is 335 kilometers per hour, cruising speed is 260 kilometers per hour. Dynamic ceiling 4500 meters. The flight range is 1000 kilometers.
