Update: List of 53 Areas with the Status of the Covid-19 Red Zone in Indonesia

KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian government again announced 4,127 new Covid-19 cases that occurred since Tuesday (10/13/2020) at 12.00 WIB until Wednesday (10/14/2020) afternoon.

Thus, the total number of cases corona virus which have been confirmed in Indonesia to a total of 344,749.

The number of recovered patients also increased by 4,555, bringing the total to 267,851 people.

In addition, the total number of deaths to date is 12,156, an increase of 129 from the previous day.

Meanwhile, in relation to the number of areas with a high risk of the corona virus or red zone, according to the Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force, it has decreased from 54 areas last week and now there are 53 regions.

Indicator

For the record, the Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force divides the risk map into five categories.

The five categories are high risk (red zone), medium risk (orange zone), low risk (yellow zone), no cases (green zone), and not affected (green zone).

There are several indicators used to calculate the status of the Covid-19 risk zone in Indonesia, namely: epidemiology, public health surveillance, and health services.

Epidemiological indicators

  • The drop in the number of positive cases in the last week was more than 50 percent from the peak
  • The drop in the number of ODP and PDP cases in the last week was more than 50 percent from the peak
  • The decline in the number of positive case deaths in the last week was more than 50 percent from the peak
  • The drop in the number of ODP and PDP deaths in the last week was more than 50 percent from the peak
  • The decline in the number of positive cases hospitalized in the last week was more than 50 percent from the peak
  • The decline in the number of ODP and PDP cases hospitalized in the last week was more than 50 percent from the peak
  • The cumulative percentage of cases recovered from all positive cases
  • Increase in the number of completed monitoring of ODP and PDP cases over the past 2 weeks
  • Incidence rate of positive cases per 100,000 population
  • Mortality rate positive cases per 100,000 population

Public health surveillance indicators

  • The number of diagnostic samples examined increased over the past 2 weeks
  • Positivity rate low (target of less than 5 percent positive sample of all people tested)

Health service indicators

  • The number of beds in the referral hospital isolation room can accommodate up to less than 20 percent of the number of positive Covid-19 patients hospitalized
  • The number of beds in the referral hospital can accommodate up to less than the number of ODP, PDP, and Covid-19 positive patients treated at the hospital

That is, the risk zone in each of these can change at any time depending on the deployment conditions coronavirus pandemic.
