Hospitalized, Arianna miraculously survived the attack but her injuries remain very serious because a bullet passed through her chest, hitting her liver and lungs and shattering three of her ribs.
No suspect
As investigators attempt to uncover the circumstances of the tragedy, they said at least one person fired multiple shots in this second-floor apartment, confirming that a girl sleeping in a room near the entrance was injured. Another child and four adults were also present in the apartment at the time of the shooting, according to The Independent. The identity of the shooter and the motive for the crime remain unknown for the time being. But for Derrick Delane, there is no doubt that this attack was “targeted”, reports the newspaper.
