Supporters of the Bundesliga club Union Berlin gather for the game against Schalke 04 in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. Although they comply with all regulations, such actions could jeopardize the operations of the highest German football league.

When watching Union Berlin against Schalke 04 (1-1), some TV viewers may have frowned. When Urs Fischer’s team takes the lead from Robert Andrich in the 11th minute, cheers from cheers can clearly be heard. Are there fans in the stadium?

No. In the old forester’s house, all the safety precautions are also followed during the game against Schalke, but as the name of the stadium suggests, the cheers come from the forest next door. According to “bz-berlin”, around 30 supporters of the newcomer have gathered there and cheer their team on.

Fans abide by regulations

According to the tabloid, the Berlin police were immediately on site with two team cars, but did not have to intervene. The fans had divided themselves into small groups according to the regulations and kept their distance. In Berlin, groups of up to five people can meet.

Although well-intentioned and in compliance with the rules, Union supporters are sending an alarm signal to the Bundesliga. One of the most important conditions for the restart was to avoid crowding in front of the stadiums in any case. It remains to be seen whether similar scenes will occur in other games. Should more than 30 people gather in front of stadiums in the future, the whole thing could endanger the operation of the game.
