Chancellor of the University of Indonesia (UIC) Musni Umar recently reported to Polda Metro Jaya. Musni Umar reported by Prof Yusuf Leonard Henuk on suspicion of falsifying diplomas up to the title of ‘fake professor’.
Can’t accept being called ‘fake professor’, Musni Umar counterattacked Prof. Leonard Henuk. The Postgraduate Director of the Tarutung Christian Institute, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) was policed by Musni Umar on charges of defamation and slander.
“Pak YLH has defamed me as the Chancellor of UIC. In this regard, as a citizen who has the right to legal protection, to obtain justice, on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 21.00 WIB, I was accompanied by young lawyers to report YLH,” explained Musni Umar at a press conference at Ibnu Chaldun University, East Jakarta, Saturday (2/4/2022).
Musni Umar Feels Defamed
Musni Umar explained that he reported Prof Henuk on the offending e-mail. In the electronic letter, said Musni Umar, he was accused of being a ‘fake professor’.
“In an e-mail YLH wrote, ‘Save the young generation of Indonesia from Musni Umar’s trickery, from using a fake professor title at UIC which harms all UIC alumni, who have fake diplomas because the Chancellor of UIC holds a fake Prof title, has a functional position,'” he said. Musni Umar.
According to him, the accusation of ‘fake professor’ is a slander. Musni Umar felt himself to have been defiled by Prof Henuk.
“This is slander and an attempt to fight each other between us, especially when it is said that the diploma is invalid, even though it is clear that all the diplomas I issued first did not use the title of professor, the second was legal and registered with the government,” continued Musni Umar.
Musni Umar Reports Posts by Prof. Henuk
The Chancellor of Ibnu Chaldun University, Musni Umar, revealed that he reported to Prof. Henuk for the ‘open letter’ which was sent to a number of parties. In the ‘open letter’, Prof Henuk referred to him as a ‘fake professor’ whose workers ‘licked Anies’.
“From the open letter, which YLH conveyed to various parties, including Mr. Jokowi and Governor Anies, it was stated, ‘My position is rector, the title is fake professor, the job is to curry favor with Anies’. This is also very sad for me. Because properly, scientists should respect each other. Moreover, I am the Chancellor of UIC, the oldest Islamic university in Indonesia, so it should be respected, because dignity and dignity must be maintained,” he explained.
Contacted separately, Musni Umar’s lawyer, Husein Marasabessy said his party reported it Prof Henuk for the post on the Twitter account @ProfYL_Henuk. On the Twitter account, Prof Henuk posted meme which offended Musni Umar.
“There are also pictures memeMr. Musni Umar (as if) kissing Mr. Anies’ ass,” said Husein in his statement.
Husein said that his party reported Prof. Henuk to Polda Metro Jaya on Friday (1/4). In the report, his party attached a number of evidences to the police.
“Screenshot that Twitter account. The second is the other letter evidence, that is the reason we report the YLH, of course with the witnesses who have been prepared,” said Husein.
