Al-Marsad Newspaper: Saudi fashion designer, Yahya Al-Bishri, commented on women replacing black abayas with colored ones, noting, “The color black is ugly and dark.”

Al-Bishri said, during his stay as a guest on the “Octavo” program, that optics are important, because beauty is always seen with our eyes, and this dark black color is ugly.

He added, “This color is as if you are forced to wear it,” noting that whether or not a woman wears a cloak, she is free, and this thing does not diminish or increase her value, but rather her value in her knowledge, morals and literature.
