Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Italian club, AC Milan, qualified for the round of 16 of the European Champions League 2023/2022, having occupied the fifth table of the group with 10 points.
The Italian club defeated the Austrian Red Bull Salzburg, four unanswered goals, in the match that brought the two teams together at the “San Siro” stadium on Wednesday evening, at the end of the group stage matches.
In the same group, Chelsea beat Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia, by two goals to one, and the “Blues” had secured the qualification for the second round of the (Champions League).
Benfica won Group H with 14 points, with the advantage of scoring away goals for the Portuguese club, and after defeating Israeli Maccabi Haifa by six to a goal, while Paris Saint-Germain finished in the summer, after his victory over Juventus, in Italy, with two goals to one.
Manchester City defeated Sevilla, Spain, by three to one, and the “Citizens” had qualified for the round of 16, accompanied by German Borussia Dortmund, who drew positively with a goal for the same with Denmark’s Copenhagen.
Real Madrid overwhelmed Scottish club Celtic by five goals to one, while RB Leipzig scored 4-0 by Shakhtar Donetsk and “Merengue” and the German club had qualified together for the second round.
