A man died in Delft on Sunday when his car ended up in the water. Another man was seriously injured in the accident. The accident happened on the Oostpoortweg.
The accident was reported just before 5 a.m. The seriously injured man had already climbed out of the car under his own power.
The other victim, the driver, had to be removed from the car by divers. He later died from his injuries.
It was unclear for a while whether there were more people in the car. A large area was searched, but no one was found.
The cause of the accident is not yet known. The identities of the victims are also unknown.
