The car lineup for the Düsseldorf Rose Monday procession 2024 has been fixed since Monday evening (January 15th). As the Düsseldorf Carneval Committee (CC) announced on Tuesday, as part of a draw broadcast live on YouTube by Venetia Melanie, a drawing was held to determine which CC member club would parade through the streets of the state capital at which position in the Rose Monday procession on February 12th. After the handball world record game, the Rose Monday procession will be the next major event to take place in Düsseldorf in this eventful year.
Three clubs are celebrating an anniversary
During the draw there were three lottery pots available for the front, middle and rear parts of the train. According to the CC, however, it was already clear in advance that, in addition to the two Prinzengarden in the rear part of the procession, the Düsseldorf vigilante group was also at the beginning and the Rheinische Guard Blau-Weiss at the end. As part of this year’s Rose Monday procession, three clubs are also celebrating their anniversary: the Düsseldorfer Bürgerwehr (12 x 11 years), the KG Müllejecke (9 x 11 years) and Blau-Weiss Büderich (6 x 11 years).
Behind the Düsseldorf vigilante group, the KGV Weissfräcke and the Schloßgarde der Stadt Düsseldorf from 1999 eV start the Rose Monday procession. The KG Düsseldorfer Radschläger 1880 eV is in position number 15 this year. The KG Regenbogen, one of the largest carnival companies in the state capital, starts in 31st place. A total of 49 clubs are represented with floats on the “Zoch” this year.
