The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced yesterday, Wednesday, that 125 new cases of newly created Corona virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, which brings the total infections in the country until yesterday evening to 2024 cases, while the deaths reached 127; an increase of two cases in the same period.
The ministry added that the number of people recovering reached 229 cases.
Moroccan Health Minister Khaled Ait Talib said on Tuesday in parliament that Morocco “is still in control of the epidemiological situation of Corona virus so far, as it is still in the second stage of the epidemic spread.”
He added that the precautionary measures taken by Morocco “enabled to avoid the worst, and to avoid 6000 deaths, as studies estimated.”
Morocco imposes a state of health emergency from 20 March to 20 April, and imposed medical masks for those who have to leave their homes.
He also rushed to close schools before that, and decided to ban various activities and gatherings and close his airspace.
